We are not born with good taste, it comes by learning through much error and when accomplished, is above price. Of course without the help of experts such as George Howell presenting exceptional and rare coffee, this accomplishment might never have happened to people such as myself.

I recently saw a TV program about coffee production in Costa Rico with an emphasis on “Britt” brand coffee. I was surprised about some of their production practices based on what I’ve read through my association with this blog and my regular purchase of your coffee. Any comment?

I completely agree that coffee — even really great coffee — is a bargain, one of life’s least expensive yet pleasurable indulgences. I have a calculator on my site that lets folks plug in the cost and volume of a coffee bean purchase and see how much it works out to per 6-oz cup. People tell me they are always surprised how cheap it is compared to other beverages.
